Loren Scott

Loren Scott is one of the preeminent business bankruptcy attorneys in the state.  After externing with the Honorable Frank R. Alley III in the Eugene division of the federal bankruptcy court, Loren entered private practice in the areas of creditor’s rights, commercial bankruptcy, and commercial litigation for the duration of his legal career.  Loren has developed notoriety throughout Oregon for representing individuals and small businesses in chapter 11 bankruptcy and chapter 12 family farmer cases.  He has a reputation for intelligent, tough, practical representation of banks, receivers, and creditors in bankruptcy and commercial law matters.

Loren is AV-rated on Martindale-Hubbell and has been recognized by Oregon SuperLawyers every year since 2009 as well as by BestLawyers since 2018.  Loren served a 2-year term on the OSB Debtor-Creditor Section Executive Committee and chaired the Lane County Bar Debtor-Creditor Section.  He has authored materials and is a frequent speaker around the state on bankruptcy topics.  He volunteers his time to help the law school’s bankruptcy appellate moot court team, educate high school students on credit and financial matters, and coach his children’s basketball teams.  Loren is married to fellow founding partner, Natalie Scott.  Both born and raised in the South, they chose to settle and raise their family in Eugene after moving here from Arizona in 2000.
